Apple Pencil

Apple Pencil works naturally in BloqLoft. Use it for precise selection, dragging shapes, and tapping controls. The same gestures you use with your finger, with more accuracy.

Selection and editing

Tap with Apple Pencil to select patches, shapes, and blocks. Pencil input is treated the same as a finger tap, but with pixel-level precision. This is especially helpful when patches are small or tightly packed.

Drag with the Pencil to move selected elements. The precision makes it easier to place shapes exactly where you want them.

Double-tap

If your Apple Pencil supports double-tap (2nd generation and later), BloqLoft uses it to toggle your most recent tool or panel. This is configurable in your iPad's system settings under Apple Pencil preferences.

Using Pencil and touch together

You don't have to choose one input method. Use Apple Pencil for precise edits and your fingers for canvas navigation (pinch to zoom, two-finger pan) at the same time. There's no mode to switch between.
