Gestures

BloqLoft uses standard iPad gestures for navigating the canvas and working with your designs. Most gestures work the same in both editors, with a few that are context-specific.

Canvas navigation

Pinch to zoom

Place two fingers on the canvas and spread them apart to zoom in, or pinch together to zoom out. The zoom centers on the midpoint between your fingers.

Two-finger pan

Place two fingers on the canvas and drag to pan. This moves the viewport without selecting or moving anything.

Two-finger double-tap to fit

Double-tap with two fingers to reset the view and fit the entire design on screen.

Selection

Tap to select

Tap a patch or block to select it. The selected element highlights and the relevant editing tools become available. Tap empty space to deselect.

Two-finger tap to select matching

In the Block Editor, select a cell first with a single tap, then two-finger tap to select every cell that shares the same shape and fills. This is a quick way to grab all instances of a repeated element.

Quick actions

Double-tap to copy

Double-tap a cell in the Block Editor or a block in the Quilt Editor to copy it. A brief confirmation appears so you know it worked. Double-tap empty canvas space to reset the camera view.

Long-press for context menus

In the Studios, press and hold a card to open its context menu with actions like duplicate, rename, and delete.

Undo and redo

Tap the undo and redo buttons in the toolbar to step back and forward through your edit history. With a keyboard connected, the standard shortcuts work too.

Tip: Undo history is unlimited within a session. You can undo all the way back to when you opened the editor.
